School Tour

     On Wednesday we went on our school tour. We went to lough adventure centre. I sat beside Laura and Grainne. All of us had great fun up on the bus.

     When we got there, the leaders put us into groups with ten people in each group.In my group there was Lea, Charlotte, Laura, Ella, Roisin, Grainne, Alisha, Amy, Mecheile and me. Rory was the name of our team leader.

     We did rock climbing first. Everyone reached the top. Next we ran over a big hill towards the archery. No one hit the bullseye but Roisin was the closest.

     After that we went on the zip line. Most people went on it. When you were on it you flew through the trees. Even Ms Fitzpatrick, Ms Brady and Mr McGuiness went on the zip line.

     Soon we went to the Witches Ropes. You had to go across ropes with water. The person holding the water couldn’t move. It was fun. Next Rory led us into a forest with blindfolds on. We had to follow the rope until the end but there was no end.

     Later we went through tyres and then we had to crawl under ropes. But you had to be careful because there was nettles all around the course. After the ropes we had to walk through a swamp. It got deeper and deeper. Then there was obstacles in the mud. You had to jump over tyres and under barrels. After the swamp it was water and you had to swim under a bridge. Finally you had to pull yourself out of the water.

     Next we went over to a zip line over water. It was great craic but no one wanted to stay because the water was too cold. We all got changed and had a barbeque. Everyone got burgers, sausages and chicken wings. Most people were eating sweets too.

     In the end we had to go back to Cavan and back to school. We had so much fun on the way back but it was quiet because we were all tired. It was a fun day and I can’t wait to go there again!
